Looking for a fun and affordable family day out these school holidays? Head to the beautiful orange orchards at Dooralong, just one hour from Hornsby, and enjoy the experience of picking your own fresh oranges straight from the trees.
There’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained, including tractor rides, pony rides, sheep feeding, a large sandpit, farm machinery for the kids to explore, and picnic areas to relax and enjoy the countryside. You'll also find a Rotary sausage sizzle, coffee and ice cream van, and local honey available for purchase.
Best of all, there is no entry fee and no booking required. Simply bring your family (and even your dog on a lead), enjoy a day on the farm, and take home as many delicious oranges as you'd like for just $2.50 per kilogram.
